I'm coming up to 2,000 miles on the sport touring tyres, and am really pleased with them. If the rear can last 5k+ I reckon I'll stick with Maxxis personally. Less than that & it's no cheaper than buying Bridgestone or Continental. Smile

Don't always believe what you read. I've read that 9/11 wasn't set up by the CIA Suspect

As to the feedback from these Maxxis, again, perhaps the best set of tyres I've had on in that respect. Very steady but responsive to the slightest shove on the bar. thumbs

Just copied this from another forum:

First time in ages I've posted but I feel I have to join in this grand Maxxis debate! Got a VFR800Fi-X with 38k on of which I've done 15k on.
Put the Diamonds on around 1,000 miles ago as I read 6-7 reports and all seemed good.
I'd done 9k on Dunlop Roadsmarts (great tyres), and it was the £50 saving that swayed me. Got to say that early impressions are really good, with excellent dry and wet grip;though the most impressive thing up to now is the feedback, they really transmit what's happening.
The other thing is-wait for it- they seem QUIETER, especially over the shellgrip surfaces around roundabouts and other hazards, maybe it's because they feel lighter in steering and changing direction but that's my feeling.
Before they went on they did look a bit 'pointy' but once inflated looked fine and certainly don't drop into corners. I run my forks dropped 10mm and 35 front 38 rear psi. Bike feels great all round. Just got to see how they wear, if they approach the Dunlops they will be winners. Look in other markets like cycle, atv etc and Maxxis are dominant, I've got no worries whatsoever .
